About our Vet Clinic
We are a large Clinic with a rotating staff of approximately 40 nurses and 24 vets, which includes veterinarians with advanced education in internal medicine, orthopaedics, shelter medicine, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, pocket pets and emergency and critical care. Accompanying this inspiring group is a varied skill set of nurses who encourage, support, and inspire each other to continually improve.
Our facility incorporates five operating theatres, eight consulting rooms, two shelter hospital wards, two private patient hospital wards, a cat specific, isolation ward, and a full digital imaging suite.
About the role
The Trainee Vet Nurse is an entry-level nurse position responsible for the day-to-day care of animals in veterinary clinics operated by RSPCA Victoria, contributing to the achievement of the best possible welfare outcome for every animal in our care. This role is a part time role, that consists of 64 hours per fortnight working on a 4-week rotating roster.
