Local Council - Maintenance Officer roles DNA Recruitment are partnering with Councils in the Southeast of Melbourne to recruit for a various maintenance roles. We are seeking skilled, qualified operators to join maintenance teams of Councils in the South East of Melbourne.
These role play a vital part in maintaining the condition and appearance of Council's infrastructure across the municipality including roads, parks and other assets, waste management and other Council services. You would have responsibilites including operating heavy machinery, driving waste management vehicles and supporting a wide range of civil construction and maintenance activities. The role requires a strong understanding of and commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Get paid $$ weekly Make a difference within the local community KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Roles may include assisting with maintenance and repair of roads, footpaths, drainage, parks and other assets or working within the waste management team
Operating heavy machinery for tasks including excavation, grading, levelling, material spreading, compaction, and site clean-up Responding to reactive maintenance requests and address safety hazards Assist with traffic management and site safety setups ABOUT YOU
Experience in civil construction, including asphalt, concrete, bluestone works, horticulture, waste management ideally within a local government team Proficiency in operating heavy machinery (e.g., excavators, skid steers, street sweepers) Strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment MR or HR licence (minimum MR) and traffic management qualifications (preferred) Current WWC and police check wihtin the last 6 month period WORKING HOURS
