About the role

We are seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our team at a dental specialist clinic in Doncaster East, VIC. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our dental professionals and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the dental specialist during dental procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clean and organised work area

• Sterilising and disinfecting dental equipment and instruments according to infection control protocols

• Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked and readily available

• Greeting patients, managing appointment schedules, and providing excellent customer service

• Maintaining detailed patient records and updating treatment plans as required

• Supporting the dental team with administrative tasks as needed

What we're looking for

• A Dental Assisting qualification or equivalent experience in a dental setting

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation

• Proficiency in using dental equipment and computer software for patient record-keeping

• A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental professionals

• Enthusiasm for delivering exceptional patient care and a commitment to continuous learning
