Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Gastroenterology Clinical Research Nurse to join the Northern Health Gastroenterology Service.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

A Gastroenterology Clinical Research Nurse plays a vital role in conducting and managing clinical trials related to gastrointestinal diseases and treatments. This specialized nursing position combines clinical expertise with research skills to ensure the successful execution of studies while prioritizing patient care and safety.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Post graduate qualifications in clinical nursing and/or clinical trials research
  • Experience in clinical trials
  • AHRPA registration as Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge of regulatory/ethics and research governance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals and groups.
  • Knowledge of EMR use and relevant IT computer applications
  • Working knowledge of ICH GCP, NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Research Involving Humans, TGA notification scheme and international regulatory bodies (FDA and EMA).
  • Demonstrated ability to work using own initiative
  • Ability to work constructively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workload
  • Maintains mandatory training requirements
  • A passion for improving patient care and cutting-edge research
