Maroondah City Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Community Services Administration team.

In this role, you will provide high quality administrative support across all areas of Community Services and deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone adaptable, highly organised with attention to detail and accuracy, and confident working independently in a fast paced team environment. A key part of this position involves supporting the operational needs of the Maternal and Child Health service, including time-critical support including taking appointment line telephone calls, booking appointments, and processing birth notifications as well as the practicalities for maintaining clinic supplies and arrangements for group programs.

Days of Work: 

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Friday - 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

You will need:

  • Certificate in Business Administration or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated administrative experience in a professional service environment
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with customers, the public, and both internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in achievement of team and organisational goals and objectives
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft office applications
  • Police check and Working with Children Check are required for this role

Desirable:

  • Experience in Local Government
  • Knowledge of electronic purchasing systems and records management systems
  • Experience using CDIS
