The Helping Hands Centre is a purpose built centre and is looking to add an Occupational Therapist to an already established experienced allied health team (consisting of speech pathologists, psychologists and occupational therapist). We are seeking a dedicated, passionate and hard working team member. They will be working with neurodiverse clients aged from 2 years of age to 30 years of age.
Australian occupational therapy registration is required at application.
Our already established team consists of three psychologists, three speech pathologists, one occupational therapist and 33 early intervention and youth support staff (with varying experience) along with four administration team members. We are a unique team that places a significant emphasis on support, trust, teamwork and celebrating neurodiversity.
A minimum of 6-12 months occupational therapy experience is required for this role.
You will provide support for children and adolescents with varying diagnosis including ASD, ADHD, developmental and motor delays, learning and intellectual disabilities, behavioural and emotional regulation difficulties and sensory processing disorders.
Some exposure to paediatric occupational therapy is required for working with neurodiverse clients aged from 2 years to 30 years of age.
Basic exposure to autism spectrum disorder is required for supporting children and adolescents with ASD and related conditions.
