Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Clinical or Health Psychologists to join the Persistent Pain Management Service and the Allied Health Psychology team.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

This role will involve:

  • Psychological assessment and targeted but flexible interventions for individuals experiencing persistent pain
  • Individual therapy and facilitation of specialised group sessions
  • Contributing to improved functioning and quality of life for our diverse patients
  • Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, including pain physicians and other allied health staff

This is a 12-month fixed-term Grade 3 part-time position (0.4 EFT, 30.4 hours per fortnight), however suitably experienced Grade 2 Psychologists are also encouraged to apply.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An enthusiastic, dedicated and collaborative approach to clinical practice
  • Experience providing psychological care within pain clinics and/or public health settings
  • Demonstrated capability in evidence‑based intervention, assessment and multidisciplinary teamwork
