We are a family owned Japanese Take-away/Restaurant looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand and Hall Staff to join us at Hinata Sushi Studio located opposite of Parkdale Station.

Job Description/Requirements and Skills

Kitchen Hand

- Food preparation - Assisting chefs by preparing ingredients, making hot foods

-Cleaning the food preparation areas such as bench tops, ovens, ranges, and floors to maintain health and safety standards.

-Will be receiving, unpacking and rotate food supplies and stock to prevent wastage.

-Able to work quickly in a fast-paced environment

-Washing dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, and kitchen equipment using industrial washers or by hand

-Proven experience working in a commercial kitchen (cafes, restaurants, or catering).

Hall Staff

Preferred: Some background in Japanese language and/or has interest in Japanese culture and food (Business is owned by Japanese family)

-Greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately

-Serving food and drinks promptly, including alcoholic beverages, ensuring accuracy and quality

-Processing cash and card transactions using the POS system

-Cleaning tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining the hygiene of the dining area

-Setting up tables, cleaning and restocking

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

-A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate

-Previous hospitality or food & beverage experience is essential

Must be available both Friday and Saturday 11:00am - 8:30pm

Hourly wage $30.00 - $31.20 + Superannuation
