Inglewood Coffee Roasters is one of Australia’s fastest-growing specialty coffee roasters driven by a passion for quality, innovation, and exceptional customer experience. We’re currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Inglewood Espresso Bar in Mount Waverley.

We’re seeking someone who takes pride in their craft, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and genuinely enjoys creating great coffee and positive customer experiences. Someone who is reliable, personable, detail-oriented, and aligned with specialty coffee values.

About the Role

As a Barista, you’ll be responsible for delivering consistently high-quality coffee while providing warm, efficient service to our customers. This is a permanent part-time position, offering consistent weekday hours and the opportunity to work closely with a passionate, coffee-focused team. There will be opportunity to work as part of our Inglewood Events Team and work Saturday’s and Sunday’s where required.

Key Responsibilities

Coffee Preparation & Quality

  • Prepare and serve espresso-based and specialty coffee to Inglewood standards

  • Dial in coffee and maintain consistency throughout service

  • Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and used correctly

  • Balancing the Till at the end of shift

Customer Service

  • Deliver friendly, professional, and engaging customer service

  • Build rapport with regular customers and represent the Inglewood brand positively

  • Handle customer requests and feedback with care and confidence

Operations & Workflow

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace

  • Follow opening, service, and closing procedures accurately

  • Support smooth daily operations during service periods

Team & Culture

  • Work collaboratively with the wider café and roastery team.

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues.

  • Contribute to a positive, supportive workplace culture.

You will be successful in this role if you are:
  • An experienced barista with strong espresso and milk texturing skills.

  • Passionate about specialty coffee and quality service.

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional in presentation.

  • Calm and efficient under pressure.

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexible and adaptable as hours and service needs evolve.
