About Us:

Bean Lab is a busy, fast-paced specialty café located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. We pride ourselves on quality coffee, fresh food, and outstanding customer service. We're currently looking for a friendly and experienced Barista / All-Rounder to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare high-quality coffees and drinks

Dialing and monitor coffee quality throughout the day

Confidently steam and texture milk for dine-in and takeaway service

Prepare and assemble sandwiches, toasties, and light meals

Deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment

Handle orders and payments using POS system (cash and EFTPOS)

Maintain cleanliness of coffee station, kitchen, and dining areas

Perform daily opening and closing duties, including setup and clean-down of equipment and café areas

Restock supplies and assist with general café operations

What We’re Looking For:

12 months minimum barista experience in a busy café

Strong coffee knowledge, including dialling in and milk texturing

Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude

Food prep skills (e.g. making sandwiches/toasties)

Clean, fast and efficient work style

Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Flexible availability – weekday mornings essential and flexible to work on the weekend
