The Institute aims to provide excellent vocational education and training services for industry, students and government in Victoria, Australia and internationally.

About the Roles:

Opportunities on offer to join the Institute's Tourism Hospitality and Events team in teaching and assessing units from the Certificate and Diploma of Hospitality (SIT22) Training Package.      

 Key Selection Criteria:

Note: Only applicants that address the key selection criteria will be considered for this role:

  • Applicants require an approved degree, advance diploma or certificate in a relevant vocational area or approved equivalent qualifications and approved industry experience.
  • Minimum teaching qualification of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40122 or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to plan, teach and assess in a range of units in the SIT Tourism and Hospitality training package within the areas of Hospitality Management, practical class delivery i.e. SITHFAB034, SITHFAB025 and SITHFAB023 would be an asset.
  • Ability to research and develop appropriate teaching materials and methods of assessment and adapt delivery and assessment to meet student needs using appropriate technology in a diverse teaching environment.
  • Ability to contribute to, and be a part of, the teams working within the Centre for Tourism and Hospitality; and to co-operate and communicate effectively with Institute staff, students and industry personnel.
  • Demonstrated behaviours that align with the William Angliss Institute Values.

The casual hourly rate will depend on teaching and vocational qualifications and experience and will range from $91.42 - $98.77 per hour for teaching and $62.14 - $67.10 per hour for non-teaching duties.
