We're looking for a Barista who genuinely loves people and understands that hospitality is about making others feel seen, welcome and valued. Someone who gets just as much satisfaction from remembering a regular's order and brightening someone's morning as they do from pouring a beautiful latte.

Located in Cheltenham, Holy Toast has built a loyal community of customers who visit us not only for great coffee and food, but because they enjoy the experience we create every day. It's a big community here.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing consistently excellent coffee using specialty coffee practices

2. Dialling in and tasting espresso and maintaining quality throughout service

3. Delivering warm, genuine and memorable customer experiences

4. Building relationships with regular customers and welcoming new faces

5. Working closely with a supportive team during busy service periods

6. Maintaining a clean, organised and professional coffee station

7. Assisting with general café operations and daily tasks

8. Upholding high standards of presentation, cleanliness and hospitality

9. Setting up and closing the cafe on some days

What we're looking for

1. Loves interacting with people and creating positive experiences

2. Takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality and service

3. Has previous barista experience and a solid understanding of coffee fundamentals

4. Possesses a minimum of 18 months barista experience demonstrating advanced proficiency in coffee preparation and customer service

5. Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

6. Brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic every day

7. Is reliable, punctual and takes ownership of their role

8. Thrives in a close-knit team environment

9. Wants to continually improve their coffee and hospitality skills

10. Has teamwork skills and will support their colleagues

11. Has a minimum of one year of barista experience demonstrating proficiency in coffee preparation and customer service

12. Possesses Australian work rights and is legally eligible to work in Australia

13. Has availability to work both weekdays and weekends as required

This role might not be for you if

1. You prefer making coffee without engaging with customers

2. You view hospitality as simply serving food and drinks

3. You don't have any experience making coffee

4. You struggle receiving feedback or learning new skills

5. You aren't interested in contributing to a positive team culture

6. You don't enjoy building genuine relationships with customers
