Job Description

We are currently seeking Part-Time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team at Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park. Reporting to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Executive Housekeeper, you will play a key role in leading daily housekeeping operations, supporting and developing team members, maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards, and ensuring a safe, efficient and seamless guest experience across our dual-branded hotel.As our next Housekeeping Supervisor, your duties will include:

  • Oversee and assist with managing the in‑house Housekeeping Department.
  • Allocate and organise daily room assignments and team responsibilities.
  • Ensure guest rooms are cleaned, inspected and released in a timely manner to meet arrival and check‑in requirements.
  • Perform detailed room inspections to ensure brand excellence is upheld.
  • Lead by example in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring safe work practices are followed, hazards are identified and reported, and housekeeping team members comply with all WHS policies and procedures.
  • Support roster planning and operational efficiency.
  • Support housekeeping management in administrative tasks including tracking learning & development participations.
  • Coach, mentor and train Public Area Attendants, Housepersons and Room Attendant team members in line with brand standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Front Office, Engineering and other operational departments to support a seamless guest experience.
  • Coordinate all work activities on a shift‑to‑shift basis, ensuring all department procedures are followed and daily tasks are completed according to Pullman and Mercure standards.
  • Assist in controlling all housekeeping inventory, including chemicals, linen and supplies.
  • Assist in controlling all housekeeping team member uniforms, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
  • Support housekeeping leadership in fostering a positive, inclusive and high‑performing team culture through effective communication, recognition and accountability.
Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience in a Housekeeping Supervisor role (upscale hotel background is ideal).
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Meticulous eye for detail and standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Clear communication – written, verbal and interpersonal.
  • A proactive and guest‑first mindset.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster across mornings and evenings, weekdays and weekends.
