COOK – Full Time

 

Hunky Dory Fish & Chips Templestowe Lower is a well-established and busy seafood restaurant committed to providing high-quality food and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

 

Location: Templestowe Lower, VIC

Salary: $73,150 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook fish, seafood, chips and other menu items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented consistently and efficiently
  • Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation standards
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
  • Assist with stock control, stock rotation and ordering of ingredients
  • Minimise food wastage and contribute to efficient kitchen operations
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service

 

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or at least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
