Human Resources Manager (HR Manager)

Location: Mernda, VIC

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our growing team at Libra Care Services in Mernda, VIC. This full-time role will oversee all human resources functions, workforce planning, and compliance to support the delivery of high-quality aged and disability support services. A key component of the role includes managing staff rostering to ensure client needs are met efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and terminations

  • Lead workforce planning, including staff rostering and scheduling, to ensure effective service delivery

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, industrial awards, and internal policies

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives to support organisational growth and a positive workplace culture

  • Provide guidance and support to managers on HR and employee relations matters

  • Maintain accurate records for HR and workforce activities

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and address workforce planning needs

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior HR management role, ideally within aged care or disability support

  • Strong understanding of rostering and workforce planning, with knowledge of award conditions and compliance

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels

  • Proficiency in HR information systems and data analysis to support decision-making

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field

  • Resilient and adaptable, with strong problem-solving and organisational skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting staff and contributing to positive client outcomes
