Office Hours and location

Monday – Thursday – 9am – 8pm

Friday – 9am – 5:30pm

Saturday – 10am – 4pm

Sunday – 12pm – 8pm

Office located in Hampton 3188

Casuals shift times vary during these office hours

Focus People Market Research Recruitment assists Advertising Agencies, Marketing Departments, Government Departments and Market Research companies with their research projects. We recruit respondents for research projects all around Australia (Metro, Regional and Rural areas), we assist clients to book suitable venues for their research project and assist with ensuring their project runs smoothly and efficiently.

Your role will involve working closely with our Account Managers to find the right people for our client’s projects.  You will have an excellent phone manner, good communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.

General Duties and Responsibilities

▪ Be punctual and work the hours and times specified. 

▪ Prioritise workload to ensure work of the greatest importance to the business is undertaken with urgency and to a high standard. 

▪ Support and help develop a positive workplace culture. 

▪ Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills. 

▪ Undertake all duties and responsibilities outlined in this Job Description and all other duties as required by the business. 

▪ Comply with all employment obligations. 

▪ Promptly undertake to complete all reasonable and lawful instructions and directions given. ▪ Serve the business in good faith, promoting and protecting the business' best interests

. ▪ During work time, and such other times as may be reasonably required, dedicate all effort to the 

execution and fulfilment of the duties, responsibilities, obligations and instructions related to employment. 

▪ Demonstrate through own actions a commitment to Health and Safety at work when undertaking work or observing others in the workplace. 

Daily tasks required

  • Calling respondents from our database to take part in research

  • Sending emails out to our database 

  • Sending confirmation emails and follow up admin tasks

  • Entering data into our database

  • Liaising with Project Coordinators about projects

  • Sorting excel spreadsheets

  • You may be asked to do other tasks that are outside of your normal job description from time to time when staff are away to offer additional assistance to the team.

Skills required

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in spoken English with clients and colleagues

  • Be knowledgeable on Australian brands and companies.

  • Have a polite, confident phone manner

  • Be vibrant and positive

  • Enjoy variety and have good work ethic

Training

All training will be provided

Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications needed 

No experience necessary however previous customer service experience is desirable

As well as experience with computers and phone systems. Experience with Google Suite is highly desirable.

Must have full working rights within Australia to be considered for this position.

Expectations in the role

  • Book in people who are on-spec and meeting the brief

  • Communicate with others in the office if the job isn’t making any sense OR you need to clarify it in any way

  • To be making at least one booking per hour

  • Ensure all bookings are placed in the master spreadsheet and in Focus Pocus

  • Must abide by the ISO 20252 Framework
