Chris Barnard Health is growing, and we’re looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our fast-paced healthcare recruitment team.

We are Victoria's largest aged care workforce provider with over 15 years of experience, a strong reputation across aged care, nursing agency and home care, and teams operating across Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and beyond.

This is an entry-level recruitment role, but it is not a slow role.

You will be joining a high-volume, high-energy agency environment where speed, communication, care and follow-through matter every single day. You will learn recruitment from the ground up, support healthcare workers through their onboarding journey, and play a real role in helping aged care homes, hospitals and community clients access the staff they need.

If you are confident on the phone, naturally organised, good with people and hungry to build a proper career, this is your foot in the door.

About the Role As a Junior Recruitment Consultant, you will support the recruitment team with sourcing, screening, onboarding and managing healthcare candidates across nursing, aged care and community care roles.

You will be working closely with experienced recruiters, allocations teams and operational leaders to help build and maintain a strong, compliant and reliable workforce.

This role suits someone who enjoys people, pace and pressure. Recruitment is not just sending emails and waiting around. It is phone calls, follow-ups, problem-solving, admin accuracy, relationship-building and keeping things moving when the day gets busy.

What You’ll Be Doing In this role,

  • Source candidates across job boards, databases, referrals and social platforms
  • Review applications and identify suitable healthcare workers
  • Conduct warm, professional phone screens and candidate interviews
  • Support onboarding, including compliance documents, references, police checks and required credentials
  • Keep candidate records accurate and up to date in our recruitment systems
  • Build strong relationships with nurses, carers and support workers
  • Follow up with candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding process
  • Support the wider recruitment, allocations and operations teams during busy periods
  • Help ensure candidates are placement-ready, compliant and supported
  • Learn how healthcare agency recruitment works from start to finish
About You

You do not need prior recruitment experience to apply. We are looking for attitude, communication skills and potential.

You will be a great fit if you:

  • Are confident speaking to people on the phone
  • Communicate clearly, warmly and professionally
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Are highly organised and detail-focused
  • Can manage multiple tasks without falling apart when the inbox gets spicy
  • Are proactive and willing to learn
  • Care about doing things properly, not just quickly
  • Enjoy working in a team and contributing to a bigger goal
  • Want to build a long-term career in recruitment, healthcare operations or workforce management
Why Join Chris Barnard Health?

This is a real career pathway, not a seat-filler role.

At Chris Barnard Health, you will be part of a growing healthcare business with genuine opportunities to move into recruitment, allocations, compliance, account management, home care, sales or broader operations.

You will also be joining a team that values energy, care, accountability and personality. We work hard, but we also make sure the workplace feels human.

What We Offer

  • Training and mentoring from experienced healthcare recruitment professionals
  • A supportive head office team in Malvern East
  • Career pathways across recruitment, operations, compliance, home care and business development
  • Exposure to a national healthcare workforce business
  • A fast-paced role where no two days feel the same
  • Annual boat party and regular team events
  • Quarterly staff events with our nurses and care team
  • A warm, social and people-first workplace culture
  • Convenient location near Chadstone Shopping Centre
The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here You will thrive in this role if you like momentum.

This is for someone who wants to learn quickly, get involved, ask questions, pick up the phone, speak to people with confidence and build a career in a business that is expanding.

You do not need to know everything on day one. But you do need to bring energy, maturity, attention to detail and a genuine interest in people.

How to Apply

If this sounds like the right next step for you, we would love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume and a short cover letter outlining why you are interested in starting a career in healthcare recruitment.
