The Company

Fountains Galore is a small retail business that has established for over 25 years. We specialise in water features, fountains, garden supplies, statues, firepits, bird baths, urns & pedestals, we are a one stop shop for landscaping decorations. We have a showroom with over 100+ fountain designs that are perfect for either indoor or outdoor.

Position Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Marketing / Retail Assistant to join our friendly team at Fountains Galore. This role could be fit for a recent graduate studying advertising/marketing or an experienced person with knowledge on advertising/marketing with eCommerce. We are a small business with room to grow, we appreciate fresh ideas and perspectives to improve the business. This role is also suited to someone that thrives from a dynamic work style, as some days are busier with retail responsibilities than other days.

Responsibilities:

1. Marketing
Content Creation: Assist with creating advertisement material on social media, google ads and emails. Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative suite, and Meta.
Campaign Strategy: Work with the marketing team to plan and develop marketing campaigns across: social media, email, website, and search engines.
Data Analysis: Analyse marketing data to evaluate effective strategies and approaches for SEO.
Product Listings: Create product listings across our website and Facebook marketplace to promote our products for eCommerce.

2. Retail Assistant
Instore Customers: Serve customers in an enthusiastic and professional manner, consistent training will be provided for product knowledge.
Phone and Email: Assist customers across phone and email, typically for updates on their orders or product availability. Further issues can be passed onto someone in the management team.
Basic Order Taking: Submit order information into our MYOB AccountRight software, training will be provided.

Additional Skills:
Heavy Lifting: We occasionally deal with a lot of products that require heavy lifting, such as concrete statues . You are physically fit enough to lift over 20 kg, that is an additional skill worth mentioning.

About you:

  • Experience in a similar role within retail/marketing
  • Strong knowledge on marketing technology and best practices
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent team player and exhibit a high level of motivation and drive
  • High level organisation and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, social media applications, Adobe Suite etc
  • Degree qualified in Marketing or similar qualification

Schedule:
Flexible days, we are looking for someone to ideally work 2-3 days a week. Shifts are from 9am-5pm (our business hours).

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $27.50 – $30.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Keilor East VIC 3033: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Point of Sale (POS) software: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (Preferred)
