Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our Victoria team. This role combines engineering expertise with a strong business development mindset to promote OMRON’s automation and robotics solutions. You will drive territory sales performance while developing strategic sector opportunities to support long-term market growth. Reporting to the Senior State Manager. Key Responsibilities: Manage and grow customer relationships across End Users, OEMs, System Integrators, and key accounts. Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, achieving sales, margin, and KPI targets. Deliver tailored technical and commercial solutions aligned with customer needs. Maintain disciplined CRM (SFDC) pipeline management, forecasting, and activity reporting. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure strong execution and delivery. Identify and develop growth opportunities within targeted sectors (e.g. Food, Medical, Logistics, Infrastructure, Government). Build executive-level relationships and drive strategic engagements. Contribute market insights and support long-term business expansion initiatives. Any other duties assigned by the direct manager. Requirements: Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales within the Automation, Robotic or similar fields. Proficiency in technologies such as PLCs, IoT, and Robotics is preferred. Communication: Exceptional ability to engage with stakeholders at all organisational levels, including C-suite. Demonstrated experience in high-stakes presentations and proposal development. Leadership: Proven strategic vision with a track record of inspiring and motivating others.
