The Opportunity

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Sharps Waste & Pest Control Technical Sales Executive to join our team on a full-time basis. This unique role blends clinical insight with business development and customer engagement.

The ideal person will bring both clinical understanding and commercial acumen. Experience in healthcare settings or waste or pest management, combined with knowledge of sales, procurement, and how supply chains work in primary healthcare, will be highly valued. A key part of the role will be working with facilities and suppliers to introduce our products and help transition customers from competitors.

It would suit someone with a background in:

  • Healthcare sales or procurement
  • Clinical waste services
  • Pest Control Industry

In this role, you’ll work closely with our business development, operations and marketing teams to engage a wide range of wholesalers and end users on education, supporting them to improve safety, sustainability and compliance. These include:

  • General practices, private and public clinics
  • Aged care facilities and pathology providers
  • Local councils managing community sharps disposal
  • Pest control services
  • Solar maintence services

You’ll also collaborate with suppliers and distributors serving the both health and waste/pest sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Engagement & Business Development

Join customer meetings to present the clinical and safety benefits of Sharpsafe products

  • Help identify, acquire and onboard new accounts across all settings where sharps are used, including healthcare providers (GPs, hospitals, aged care, pathology, community health) and suppliers who sell into the sector
  • Join customer meetings to present the clinical, safety and sustainability benefits of Sharpsafe products
  • Support tenders, procurement conversations and product evaluations

Account Management & Customer Support

Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, procurement teams, infection control leaders and waste providers

  • Provide ongoing support to existing accounts, including refresher training and insights from end users

Education & Clinical Advocacy

Deliver training sessions on sharps safety and best practice waste management tailored to diverse healthcare environments

  • Help develop clinical case studies, educational content and resources that support engagement and decision-making
  • Identify and engage key opinion leaders and influencers in healthcare, infection prevention, and waste management to support advocacy and adoption

Internal Capability Building

Provide the internal team with insight into clinical workflows, infection prevention standards and healthcare regulations

  • Help inform strategy and ensure alignment with real-world clinical and procurement needs

Skill & Experience

Who We’re Looking For

✔ Knowledge of sharps safety, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements across healthcare settings
✔ Skilled communicator and relationship-builder, able to engage confidently with clinicians, procurement teams, suppliers, and key opinion leaders
✔ Commercially minded, with the ability to identify opportunities, influence decision-makers, and help transition customers from competitors
✔ Proactive, collaborative, and motivated by improving safety, compliance, and sustainability in healthcare
