About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and organised Business Support Officer – Waste Operations to join our Facilities, Waste and Infrastructure department. Based at the Riversdale Depot, this role supports the Waste Operations Coordinator and broader team to ensure that our waste services are delivered to a consistently high standard. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation and liaise with community members, contractors, suppliers and government stakeholders. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will oversee a range of business support and administrative functions for the Waste Operations team. This includes managing customer enquiries, maintaining corporate data and documentation, coordinating meetings, providing recruitment admin support , supporting purchasing activities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also play a key role in the allocation and management of customer requests, ensuring timely and accurate communication and resolution. The position requires confident use of corporate systems, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement. About You You bring experience in office administration, business support or customer service roles, along with highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. You are adaptable, solution‑focused and able to work both autonomously and within a team environment. Your proficiency with digital systems and your ability to prepare accurate documentation, correspondence and reports will support your success in this role. You thrive in a busy environment, manage competing priorities effectively and demonstrate a genuine commitment to enhancing the customer experience.
