The Australian Health Service Alliance acts on behalf of 20 small to medium private health funds across Australia. They manage provider relationships, negotiate contracts with hospitals and specialists, and facilitate the collection and analysis of hospital and medical data as such, they are looking for a
Senior Technical Business Analyst to join their IT team in Kew.
You’ll sit at the centre of their bespoke internal systems, 20 member health funds, external vendors and development teams, working across complex health datasets and integrations in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- You’ll work across the full delivery lifecycl
- Lead stakeholder workshops across funds, vendors and internal teams
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications
- Act as the technical bridge between systems, vendors and health datasets
- Produce high-quality documentation (process maps, use cases, system artefacts)
- Support integrations and data migrations (XML, JSON, CSV, TXT)
- Analyse complex datasets using T-SQL and relational databases
- Support Power BI reporting (data modelling, DAX, dashboards)
- Coordinate testing, UAT and implementation activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement and system enhancements
Key Requirements: - Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst
- Strong experience within private health or hospital data environments
- Knowledge of HCP datasets, hospital episodes, claims processing, MBS, DRG, ICD
- Advanced SQL capability (complex queries, data analysis, database structures, entity relationships)
- Experience working across integrations and APIs (Azure exposure )
- Strong SDLC knowledge and technical documentation capability
- Exposure to Angular / .NET Core (highly regarded)
