About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Product Management, you will manage and develop a defined product portfolio, driving growth through innovation and new product development. Located in Oakleigh, this is an on-site role. At ASSA ABLOY, product leadership through innovation is a core strategic objective—and you'll play a critical role in setting the strategic direction for your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of market segments through lifecycle management, pricing, market share, and profitability analysis.
  • Generate actionable insights by anticipating changes in customer needs, competitor behavior, regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Refine and adapt portfolio strategies to align with business objectives and organizational strengths.
  • Conduct customer and end-user research to validate use cases for future products and technologies, particularly in the smart home space.
  • Deliver strategic planning assets such as Generation Plans and Product Roadmaps.
  • Collaborate across multi-regional development teams to execute product roadmaps—from concept and design through to market launch.
  • Drive projects through the established Gateway Process, ensuring seamless execution from insight to post-launch review.

About You

You thrive in fast-paced environments and can balance multiple priorities to deliver exceptional results. You're a strong communicator, adaptable, and confident in managing diverse stakeholders. You enjoy problem-solving and take a hands-on approach to gathering insights and making informed decisions.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience in new product development.
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience contributing to cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of turning market insights into compelling business cases.
  • Experience in the retail hardware or locking industry is advantageous.
