We are looking for a Product Compliance & Development Technician to join our Product Development team in Melbourne. This role will play a key part in supporting product testing and compliance activities, ensuring our products meet Australian and international standards. You will work in our testing laboratory environment, conducting hands-on product testing and supporting the development and validation of new and existing products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technical equipment, investigating product performance, and contributing to product quality and innovation. What You’ll Be Doing Conduct testing of prototypes, existing products, imported products and competitor products against internal, Australian and international standardsPerform EMC testing using equipment such as spectrum analysers, RF generators and ESD generatorsDesign and build test jigs and equipment to support product testing and validationOperate and maintain laboratory test equipment in accordance with internal proceduresPrepare test plans and technical reports for compliance and certification purposesReview external test reports and calibration documentationWork closely with product designers, engineers and external testing laboratories What We’re Looking For You will bring hands-on experience in a testing laboratory, compliance, or product testing environment. Ideally you will have experience with: EMC testing methods and equipmentOperating electronic or mechanical test equipmentPreparing technical test reports and compliance documentationInvestigating product performance and technical issues A Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Product Testing or a related technical discipline will be highly regarded. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively will be key to success in this role. Why join ASSA ABLOY?
