OPPORTUNITY An opportunity exists for an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and grow a portfolio of accounts across Melbourne.
This role is focused on identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term client partnerships and delivering tailored freight solutions supported by a highly capable operations team.
With strong internal support and established carrier relationships, the successful candidate will be well positioned to focus on revenue generation and portfolio growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prospecting and securing new business opportunities across a broad range of commercial industries
- Developing and managing a portfolio of freight and logistics customers
- Identifying customer supply chain challenges and presenting tailored logistics solutions
- Building long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers
- Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to onboarding new accounts
- Maintaining accurate pipeline activity and forecasting through CRM systems
- Collaborating with internal operations and carrier partners to ensure service delivery
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets through consistent business development activity
CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will be a motivated sales professional who enjoys hunting for new business and building strong client relationships. You may come from freight, logistics, transport or a related B2B sales environment where relationship building and solution selling are key. Strong communication skills, resilience and the ability to manage multiple clients will be essential for success in this role.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:

- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills

- Ability to manage a pipeline and sales process through CRM systems
