Job Impact Certis is seeking a commercially astute and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to drive growth within defined industry segments. Your success will stem from sector knowledge, market credibility, and the ability to translate client needs into value-led solutions. You will lead new business acquisition, support strategic tenders, and collaborate with internal specialists to deliver tailored, commercially sound security solutions. This role requires engagement with senior stakeholders, market insight, and a disciplined approach to pipeline management. Key Responsibilities New Business & Market Entry Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within assigned industry segmentsLeverage networks and relationships to access decision-makersBuild and manage a pipeline focused on quality, value, and conversion Segment & Sector Expertise Develop a thorough understanding of customer drivers, risks, and trendsPosition Certis’ integrated security, technology, and innovation solutions to address client challengesShare market intelligence to strengthen bids and overall positioning Client Engagement & Influence Design and execute multi-level engagement strategies across senior stakeholdersEstablish credibility through insight-led discussions rather than product-led sellingBuild long-term partnerships and position Certis as a trusted provider Tenders & Proposals Lead end-to-end tender activities in collaboration with internal expertsEnsure submissions are compelling, compliant, and commercially soundBalance client expectations with operational and financial considerations Governance & Collaboration Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline reportingFollow contract review and approval processesCollaborate effectively across support services and internal teams Candidate Profile The Successful Candidate Will Be a Proven Business Developer With Strong Commercial Acumen And The Ability To Engage Senior Decision-makers. Essential Attributes Include Demonstrated success in new business acquisition within services-based industries (e.g., facilities management, property, cleaning, or similar)Strong local market knowledge and credibility with senior stakeholdersExperience leading or contributing to strategic tendersConfident engagement across multiple levels and functionsDisciplined approach to pipeline management and governanceHigh integrity, resilience, and personal drive Desirable: experience in the security industry; prior experience in services/contract businesses is advantageous.
