Production Supervisor – Dumpling Manufacturing

Koshi Sushi, Sunshine West

Competitive Salary Based On Experience

Are you an experienced food production supervisor or a qualified cook looking to take the next step into manufacturing? We're looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to support our Production Manager at our Sunshine West Dumpling facility.

Great hours — 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday — with a stable, growing national manufacturer and a great team culture.

Who Are We?

'Supply authentic, fresh Asian food for Australians at home, and on-the-go'

Koshi Sushi is an Australian chilled and frozen food manufacturer specialising in authentic Japanese cuisine. Founded in 1998, recent investment has seen expansion of new, high-care facilities providing the Australian market with a national supply solution across sushi and dumplings. Koshi Sushi now operates in all major Australian states, supplying major supermarkets, petrol & convenience, and foodservice industries with private-label and proprietary 'Koshi Sushi' brand products.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, this is a hands-on supervisory role focused on keeping the production floor running safely, compliantly, and efficiently every day.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the production team on the floor — directing workflow, monitoring output, and leading by example

  • Ensuring all food safety and quality documentation (SQF) is completed accurately and on time

  • Maintaining food safety standards and GMP compliance across the shift

  • Supporting the Production Manager with daily production coordination

  • Assisting with raw material and packaging ordering

  • Supporting inbound goods receiving and outbound freight coordination

  • Supporting induction and on-the-job training of production staff

  • Identifying and escalating any production, safety, or quality issues promptly

Full training will be provided — we're looking for the right person, not the right resume.

About You
  • Experience supervising a team in a food production environment OR a Commercial Cookery qualification with experience managing or supervising staff in a large, busy kitchen

  • Reliable, organised, and comfortable working to daily production schedules

  • Hands-on and practical — this is a floor role, not a desk job

  • A team player who takes pride in their work and supports the people around them

  • Familiarity with food safety documentation (SQF or HACCP) is an advantage but not essential — we'll train the right candidate

  • English fluency beneficial. We're a diverse workplace and are happy to work with the right candidate where English is a developing skill

Why Work With Us?
  • Great hours — 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

  • Friendly, supportive team and a positive workplace culture

  • Stable, national business with strong retail and foodservice customers

  • Full training provided

  • Real opportunity to grow within a fast-moving food manufacturing business
