About the RoleReporting to the Production Manager, this is a hands-on supervisory role focused on keeping the production floor running safely, compliantly, and efficiently every day.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising the production team on the floor — directing workflow, monitoring output, and leading by example
Ensuring all food safety and quality documentation (SQF) is completed accurately and on time
Maintaining food safety standards and GMP compliance across the shift
Supporting the Production Manager with daily production coordination
Assisting with raw material and packaging ordering
Supporting inbound goods receiving and outbound freight coordination
Supporting induction and on-the-job training of production staff
Identifying and escalating any production, safety, or quality issues promptly
Full training will be provided — we're looking for the right person, not the right resume.
About YouExperience supervising a team in a food production environment OR a Commercial Cookery qualification with experience managing or supervising staff in a large, busy kitchen
Reliable, organised, and comfortable working to daily production schedules
Hands-on and practical — this is a floor role, not a desk job
A team player who takes pride in their work and supports the people around them
Familiarity with food safety documentation (SQF or HACCP) is an advantage but not essential — we'll train the right candidate
English fluency beneficial. We're a diverse workplace and are happy to work with the right candidate where English is a developing skill
Great hours — 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Friendly, supportive team and a positive workplace culture
Stable, national business with strong retail and foodservice customers
Full training provided
Real opportunity to grow within a fast-moving food manufacturing business
