About the role:
Supports the Public Affairs Manager to deliver RACGP’s media strategy—managing enquiries, drafting content, coordinating media reports and events, and working with spokespeople, faculties, and key internal and external stakeholders to maintain clear, timely communication.
This role is a full-time, fixed term contract until 17 July 2026.
As our Media & Engagement Support Officer, you'll also:
Prepare high‑quality written materials including media releases, responses, speeches, newsletters, presentations, and web content.
Produce daily media reports, thematic issue updates, and upload media releases to RACGP platforms.
Manage the media enquiry database and support shared oversight of the media inbox.
Assist in developing a calendar of media events and support media opportunities across RACGP faculties.
Skills and experience:
Strong, adaptable written communication skills
Ability to manage fast‑paced media workflows
Skilled at building stakeholder relationships
Curious, proactive approach to public affairs and issues management.
