As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an organised and proactive Production Planner / Scheduler to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our production operations run efficiently and on time.

About this role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure customer deadlines are consistently met. You’ll work closely with multiple departments to manage workflows, optimise resources, and proactively address production challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Organise and oversee production schedules across all product lines

  • Track and report on production performance and progress

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting systems

  • Support day-to-day production operations and decision-making

  • Planning, scheduling, and coordinating production of company products

  • Creating and managing production schedules and WIP (Work in Progress) reports

  • Ensuring availability of raw materials, equipment, and labour for production

  • Scheduling shifts and allocating resources to maintain efficient coverage

  • Monitoring production progress, metrics, and milestones to meet deadlines

  • Identifying and resolving issues that may impact production schedules

  • Reporting on production status, risks, and delays to the Production Manager

  • Liaising with Sales and Quotation teams to align production with incoming demand

  • Collaborating with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams to resolve production challenges

  • Managing shipping schedules to ensure on-time delivery to customers

  • Monitoring costs to keep production within budget

  • Communicating updates on delivery timelines and any delays to stakeholders

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste

  • Ensuring compliance with operational procedures, ISO standards, and safety regulations

About you:

You’re a highly organised planner with strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset. You thrive in a deadline-driven environment and enjoy coordinating multiple moving parts to achieve successful outcomes.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role

  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control within an ISO 9001 environment

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Experience with MRP/scheduling systems (M1 database experience highly regarded)

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the business

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines

  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
