About the role

We are seeking a full-time Production Accounts Officer to join the Finance & Admin team at Avweld Australasia in Laverton North, Victoria. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely creation of Sales Orders, recording of incoming jobs, calculation of costs incurred by the production team and sending out of customer invoices to support the smooth running of the business and following up on late payments. You must have a minimum of two year's experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in a manufacturing setting in order to be considered. This is an on-site role.

What you'll be doing

• Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to track jobs from when they enter the factory to final dispatch and customer payment. This includes the creation of Sales Orders, identifying when parts arrive at the factory, assisting the Production team with the logging of hours and material usage into BC and producing fully costed invoices to be sent to customers.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date costings on jobs within the factory, including loading of sub-contractor invoices into Business Central against the correct Production Order

• Providing guidance to all staff on the use of Business Central

• Arrange transport companies to pick up completed jobs and assist with loading and unloading of jobs (a forklift license is highly desirable)

• Assisting with end-of-month processes including sending of customer statements, tracking total invoices for the month and following up on unpaid invoices.

• Providing general financial and administrative support to the finance and production teams

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is required

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance/production/accounts receivable role within the manufacturing sector

• Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
