THE ROLE
Join a growing Australian food manufacturing business and take ownership of our marketing strategy, innovation pipeline and product portfolio across multiple brands.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving brand growth, managing new product development, overseeing the Innovation Stage Gate process and ensuring our product portfolio delivers strong commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Marketing & Brand Management
Execute consumer and trade marketing plans across multiple brands
Manage and optimise the annual Advertising & Marketing (A&M) budget
Drive brand growth, awareness, household penetration and market share
Accountable for delivery of key marketing performance metrics including brand growth, market share, HHP, frequency, AWOP and brand awareness.
Oversee digital marketing activities including website and social media channels
Manage agency and industry partner relationships
Support customer presentations, category reviews and annual business plans
Innovation & Product Development
Lead the innovation pipeline and new product development strategy
Manage the Innovation Stage Gate process from concept through to launch
Deliver commercially successful product launches across multiple brands
Work cross-functionally to ensure successful project execution
Product Portfolio Management
Manage the full product lifecycle including new products, existing products and product rationalisation
Monitor product profitability and sales performance
Oversee product specifications, GS1 and product data management
Identify opportunities to optimise the product portfolio and improve commercial outcomes
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead and develop direct reports
Build strong relationships across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance
Engage with major customers and external stakeholders
Influence and collaborate with senior leadership to drive business outcomes
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced FMCG marketing professional with a passion for brand growth, innovation and commercial outcomes. You combine strategic thinking with strong project execution and enjoy working cross-functionally to bring products and ideas to market.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Degree qualification in Marketing, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
7+ years' marketing experience within FMCG, food, dairy, beverage or grocery industries
Proven success in brand management, product innovation and new product development
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing product portfolios and profitability
Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills
Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Experience with stage-gate innovation processes and product lifecycle management
Digital marketing, website and social media management experience highly regarded
Most importantly, you are a proactive leader who enjoys identifying opportunities, solving problems and delivering results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
