We are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager who can bring opportunities through their own networks and prospecting efforts, while leveraging the support, systems, and reputation of H&B Real Estate. This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives on creating their own success and is passionate about growing a substantial portfolio.
About the Role
As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating and converting new management opportunities while representing the H&B Real Estate brand in the marketplace.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Generating new landlord and investor leads through prospecting, networking, referrals, database management, and sales relationships
• Conducting rental appraisals and delivering professional management presentations
• Converting appraisal opportunities into signed management agreements
• Managing the onboarding process for new managements
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, investors, developers, and referral partners
• Working closely with our Sales and Property Management teams to maximise opportunities
• Maintaining an organised sales pipeline through our CRM systems
• Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual growth targets
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Business Development Manager within residential real estate
• A proven track record of generating new managements and achieving growth targets
• A genuine self-starter with the ability to generate and convert your own leads
• Proven ability to build business through personal networks, prospecting, referrals, and relationship building
• Comfortable creating opportunities rather than relying solely on company-generated leads
• Strong prospecting skills with a proactive approach to business growth
• A results-driven mindset with a hunger to grow a portfolio and maximise earnings
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Strong relationship-building abilities and a customer-focused mindset
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Experience using CRM systems and lead generation platforms
• A current Victorian Agent's Representative Certificate or equivalent qualification
• A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
