We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Narre Warren, Victoria due to the continued growth of our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and systems to support business objectives and enhance operational performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyse user requirements and business processes to determine software specifications and system requirements.

  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications and systems.

  • Write, modify, test, and document program code in accordance with software development standards.

  • Develop and maintain databases, APIs, and system integrations.

  • Conduct software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.

  • Evaluate existing software systems and recommend improvements, upgrades, and enhancements.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to identify technology solutions that meet business requirements.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and user manuals.

  • Monitor software performance and provide ongoing technical support and maintenance.

  • Ensure software solutions comply with security, quality assurance, and industry best practice standards.

  • Participate in software deployment, version control, and release management processes.

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve system functionality and efficiency.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Relevant qualification (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Software Engineer or in a closely related role.

  • Experience in software design, development, testing, and implementation.

  • Knowledge of programming languages, databases, and software development frameworks.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
