The Opportunity

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an ambitious and relationship-driven Business Development Manager to expand our existing customer base while identifying and securing new business opportunities throughout Metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Based at our Thomastown office, this is a hands-on field sales role for someone who enjoys getting out on the road, meeting customers face-to-face, and building genuine business relationships. You’ll work closely with management and the wider team to support existing customers, uncover new opportunities, and provide valuable feedback from the market.

A key part of this role is helping our customers get the most from our products while continuing to grow sales across your territory. We’re looking for someone who can build trust, understand customer needs, and develop long-term relationships that lead to sustainable business growth.

Experience within the tyre industry would be highly regarded; however, it is not essential. We are equally interested in speaking with candidates who have proven success in sales, account management, or business development, along with the drive, right attitude, and people skills to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to grow sales within established accounts
  • Develop new business opportunities and secure new customers across Metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria
  • Conduct regular face-to-face visits to strengthen relationships and understand customer needs
  • Promote our extensive range of independent and leading brand tyre and wheel products
  • Work towards achieving sales targets and business objectives
  • Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and opportunities within the CRM system

About You

  • Proven success in wholesale sales, business development, account management, or a similar customer-facing sales role
  • A track record of growing existing accounts and securing new business opportunities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident, friendly, and customer-focused
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team
  • Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or business development preferred
  • Experience within the tyre, automotive, transport, industrial, or wholesale sectors will be highly regarded but is not essential
  • Comfortable working towards KPI targets, including monthly sales objectives and CRM utilisation
  • Full Australian working rights and a current driver’s licence
