About The Role

In this full-time, Monday to Friday role, you will work alongside a fun and experienced team as a Business Development Manager. You will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, developing and implementing growth strategies, and building strong relationships with customers in your territory spanning Central Melbourne Metropolitan area.

Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of your region, driving revenue and GP targets through a clear, actionable regional sales plan aligned to state growth goals
  • Generate leads, pursue and secure new business opportunities across key industry sectors, expanding your customer base
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with customers at all levels, delivering a WOW customer experience every time through regular visits, presentations, and demonstrations
  • Act as the key point of contact for major projects, tenders, and supplier agreements, ensuring seamless execution and alignment
  • Track, analyse, and report on sales activity and performance metrics to drive visibility, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues promptly and maintain high service levels, while conducting regular reviews with key customers to ensure satisfaction and alignment
Requirements
  • Proven sales experience driving business development and growth, ideally within construction, civil, or infrastructure sectors
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly organised with strong planning and time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and sales activities effectively
  • Commercially astute and confident managing the full sales cycle, from qualifying opportunities through to conversion and account growth
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work autonomously in remote environments, leveraging CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) to manage pipeline and performance
