About the role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, questions how things work, and thrives beyond traditional BA boundaries. You’ll engage in tech-driven projects, from shaping requirements and improving processes to hands‑on involvement with prototypes, testing, and change management. Flexible and proactive, you’ll tackle multiple workstreams, map processes, validate solutions, and drive stakeholder adoption. Technical curiosity, enthusiasm for AI and emerging tech, and a passion for improving work processes are essential. Key responsibilities
  • Gather, document, and prioritise business requirements from teams using sessions, interviews, and surveys
  • Map and analyse current "as‑is" business processes and design improved "to‑be" solutions
  • Maintain clear project records, process flows, and use cases
  • Identify and articulate opportunities for automation, data, and AI to enhance processes and user experience
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with stakeholders to define needs and problem statements
  • Work with project managers and sponsors to define project scope and vision
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for technical teams
  • Partner with technical teams and SMEs to design solutions and ensure data quality
  • Support software/hardware product research and procurement
  • Develop and execute functional test plans and test cases in collaboration with project teams
  • Assist with project deployment, hyper‑care, and act as liaison between business and technical teams
  • Lead or coordinate change management, stakeholder engagement, communications, and adoption planning
  • Provide advice on technical solutions to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Analyse risks, benefits, and impacts of solutions; drive process improvement initiatives
  • Serve as product owner where needed and remain up to date on technology trends, especially AI
Skills and experience
  • 3+ years in a similar role with relevant tertiary qualifications preferred
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of financial/commercial operations
  • Skilled at writing clear technical and user‑friendly requirements
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, influencing, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in business process mapping and documentation
  • Familiar with Waterfall, Agile, and SDLC methodologies
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities with diverse stakeholders
  • Willing to take a hands‑on approach when required
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office 365, Visio, Power Platform, and collaboration tools
  • Interest or experience in AI, automation, or data‑driven solutions; able to identify use cases
  • Experience in testing support, UAT coordination, and defect management
  • Flexible across non‑traditional business analyst tasks
  • Professional Services and D365/HRIS project experience a plus
