HOBAN Recruitment is proud to support the upcoming State Election. We are seeking hands-on IT professionals to support upcoming election operations in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.
About The Role As an IDS Officer, you will provide Level 1 IT support across election hubs, early voting centres, mobile voting locations, and election day venues.
You will act as the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring systems remain operational throughout critical election periods. This role combines helpdesk support and on-site field work, supporting devices and systems including laptops, printers, networks, user accounts, and the Electronic Roll Mark Off (ERMO) system. Provide Level 1 IT support via phone, email, and ticketing systems Log, triage, and resolve incidents within service standards Troubleshoot user access, Windows environments, printers, and network issues
Deploy, configure, and test IT equipment across multiple sites Support ERMO setup, synchronisation, and return processes Stage, update, and distribute devices across locations
Maintain accurate asset tracking and documentation Escalate issues based on priority and collaborate with broader teams About
You Proven experience in Level 1 IT support Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, and general PC environments
The ability to prioritise tasks in high-pressure environments Excellent communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users Experience with device deployment, asset management, or basic networking (desirable)
Requirements Current Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle Willingness to travel across various locations
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light manual handling Willing to obtain a National Police Check
