Acsess Health Pty Ltd is a national telecommunications carrier specialising in retirement living, aged care, healthcare and embedded network solutions. We design, build and manage telecommunications infrastructure delivering voice, internet, IPTV, MATV, CCTV, access control and smart technology solutions across Australia.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Network & Access Engineer to join our engineering team.
About the RoleThis is a hands-on engineering position responsible for the design, deployment, support and optimisation of carrier-grade networks.
You will work across:
Enterprise and carrier routing
Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching
GPON, XPON and fibre access networks
G.hn broadband delivery platforms
Firewalls and network security
VoIP and SIP infrastructure
Retirement village and aged care telecommunications networks
Network monitoring and fault management
Configure and support routers, switches and firewalls
Design and implement VLAN architectures
Manage BGP, OSPF and static routing environments
Configure and troubleshoot GPON and XPON OLTs and ONTs
Support G.hn broadband networks and customer access technologies
Perform network fault diagnosis and performance optimisation
Implement and maintain network security policies
Work with upstream carriers, NBN and third-party providers
Produce network documentation and as-built diagrams
Provide Level 3 technical escalation support
Participate in after-hours critical fault support roster
Minimum 5 years network engineering experience
Strong routing and switching knowledge
Advanced VLAN configuration experience
Experience with MikroTik, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Ubiquiti or similar platforms
Experience configuring firewalls, VPNs and network security policies
Understanding of BGP, OSPF, MPLS and carrier networking concepts
Experience supporting fibre access networks
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Current Australian Driver Licence
GPON / XPON experience
Experience with Nokia, Huawei, VSOL, ZTE or similar OLT platforms
Experience with G.hn technologies
SIP and VoIP engineering experience
Telecommunications carrier or ISP experience
Experience within retirement living, healthcare or aged care sectors
Fortinet, Cisco, MikroTik or Juniper certifications
