Our client, a Specialist Developmental and Behavioural Paediatric Clinic is seeking an experienced and proactive Practice and Business Development Manager to take a lead role in supporting the continued growth of a well-established practice. Having grown organically over time through strong clinical reputation and referral relationships, the practice is now entering a pivotal stage of consolidation, operational strengthening, and strategic expansion.

 This role will suit someone who will maintain the collaborative, supportive and high-accountability culture that underpins the practice. The successful candidate will lead by example and contribute positively to a workplace where professionalism, kindness, humour, mutual respect and patient care are equally valued.  In addition, the Practice and Business Development Manager will help identify opportunities for staff advancement and promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.

Working closely with senior clinicians, this position will ensure the practice is well-positioned for future expansion while maintaining a warm, professional, and client-centred environment for children and families with complex behavioural, developmental, and emotional needs.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and long-term development of the practice

  • Support the continued growth and expansion of the service

  • Assist with recruitment of specialist medical, allied health and administrative staff

  • Manage onboarding and integration of new clinical and administrative staff

  • Lead and support a high-performing administration team

  • Develop and implement marketing initiatives, including:

    • Social media management

    • Website content and updates

    • GP and referrer engagement and relationship building

  • Coordinate GP meetings and external stakeholder communication

  • Strengthen and expand referral networks

  • Identify opportunities for staff development and upskilling

  • Oversee organisational structure and workflow improvements

  • Support conflict resolution and maintain a positive workplace culture

  • Contribute to the ongoing professionalisation and scalability of the practice

 About You:

You are comfortable working in a hands-on environment and understand that in a growing specialist practice no task is beneath anyone. You are equally comfortable discussing strategy, supporting staff, solving operational problems, and stepping in when needed to ensure the practice runs smoothly.

You will ideally bring:

  • Experience in practice management in healthcare administration

  • Strong understanding of marketing, communications, and referral network development

  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a professional services or clinical environment

  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and workforce coordination

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage across clinical and non-clinical stakeholders

  • High level of emotional intelligence and sound judgement in complex interpersonal situations

  • Ability to bring structure, clarity, and organisation to a growing practice

  • A proactive, solutions-focused, and strategic mindset

About the Practice:

The practice provides specialist developmental and behavioural paediatric services to children, adolescents and young adults. The team works with patients and families experiencing neurodevelopmental, behavioural, emotional and educational challenges, often requiring coordination across healthcare, education and community systems.
