Our client, a Specialist Developmental and Behavioural Paediatric Clinic is seeking an experienced and proactive Practice and Business Development Manager to take a lead role in supporting the continued growth of a well-established practice. Having grown organically over time through strong clinical reputation and referral relationships, the practice is now entering a pivotal stage of consolidation, operational strengthening, and strategic expansion.
This role will suit someone who will maintain the collaborative, supportive and high-accountability culture that underpins the practice. The successful candidate will lead by example and contribute positively to a workplace where professionalism, kindness, humour, mutual respect and patient care are equally valued. In addition, the Practice and Business Development Manager will help identify opportunities for staff advancement and promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.
Working closely with senior clinicians, this position will ensure the practice is well-positioned for future expansion while maintaining a warm, professional, and client-centred environment for children and families with complex behavioural, developmental, and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations and long-term development of the practice
Support the continued growth and expansion of the service
Assist with recruitment of specialist medical, allied health and administrative staff
Manage onboarding and integration of new clinical and administrative staff

Strengthen and expand referral networks
Identify opportunities for staff development and upskilling
Oversee organisational structure and workflow improvements
Support conflict resolution and maintain a positive workplace culture

About You:
You are comfortable working in a hands-on environment and understand that in a growing specialist practice no task is beneath anyone. You are equally comfortable discussing strategy, supporting staff, solving operational problems, and stepping in when needed to ensure the practice runs smoothly.
You will ideally bring:
Experience in practice management in healthcare administration
Strong understanding of marketing, communications, and referral network development
Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a professional services or clinical environment
Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and workforce coordination
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage across clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
High level of emotional intelligence and sound judgement in complex interpersonal situations
Ability to bring structure, clarity, and organisation to a growing practice
A proactive, solutions-focused, and strategic mindset
About the Practice:
The practice provides specialist developmental and behavioural paediatric services to children, adolescents and young adults. The team works with patients and families experiencing neurodevelopmental, behavioural, emotional and educational challenges, often requiring coordination across healthcare, education and community systems.
The environment offers:
A highly professional and collaborative team culture
Modern, well-appointed consulting rooms
Strong administrative support structure
A rewarding and meaningful clinical setting
The opportunity to shape and grow a developing practice
