What You Will Do & What You Will Bring

You will be working in multidisciplinary teams with Electronic, Mechanical and Systems Engineers to develop products for our clients in the medical sector.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Software development; including

    • Delivery of design (coding, debugging, documentation, unit tests, integration, testing, and verification);

    • Reviews (design, code, test);

    • Design ownership of smaller classes and modules.

  • Compliance in quality process and relevant product regulatory standards.

  • Adherence to Agile Methodologies such as Scrum.

  • Participation in Continuous Improvement Initiatives as needed to ensure the group stays abreast of best practices in software engineering.

In addition, we require the following skills and experience in:

  • Degree qualified in Software Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience

  • Experience in controlling hardware, in particular embedded devices

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, including with client representatives.

  • Meeting estimated deadlines and clearly communicating status updates.

  • Object Oriented Design and Implementation

  • Proficiency in at least one relevant language such as C, Modern C++, or C#/.Net, and open to learning new languages, technologies, and tools as needed.

  • Scripting (such as Python, Lua).

  • Configuration Management and Continuous Integration.

  • Competent problem-solving skills.

This is a full-time, 12-month contract position.

The ideal candidate will have a couple of years of experience post University. We would also consider people with exceptional academic records of achievement for a similar Graduate role.
