A National Bulk Warehouse & Distribution business servicing the water, sewer, irrigation & resources markets.

Due to continued growth and market demand, we have restructured our sales department and are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic forward-thinking sales team.

About the Role

This is a challenging but rewarding position, requiring someone highly motivated with strong communication skills and a can-do attitude.

As a Business Development Manager at Clover, you will be required to have robust B2B sales skills and a sound understanding of contemporary marketing practices that are critical for success within this role.

The individual must always be professional and demonstrate a strong focus on strategic planning and communication along with a proven ability to negotiate and influence sales outcomes to fulfil the business objectives.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be based in our Craigieburn office and service both the Melbourne metro and Reginal Victoria market.

Key responsibilities of this role include;

  • Professional engagement to provide the best solution to civil infrastructure opportunities for Pipe/Fittings supply

  • To ensure we maintain the most cost-effective and high level of customer service.

  • Excelling at customer service and maintaining ongoing relationships with existing customers both internal and external, suppliers and logistics providers.

  • Achieving agreed sales revenue and gross margin targets within the territory in line with monthly and annual budgets set by the company and management.

  • Provide timely product/availability/order status information to clients

  • Planning, preparing and delivering effective sales presentations to clients or other stakeholders.

  • Creating awareness of the Clover brand, our products and unique value proposition within the territory.

  • Develop new business markets and segments within Metro & Regional Victoria

  • Engage with and manage existing clients to increase market share

  • Comply with all Safety requirements

Qualifications & Experience;

  • Demonstrated business and sales growth success

  • Possess the ability to relate to and communicate with a wide range of clients effectively

  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) with a focus on developing effective relationships

  • A true sales hunter attitude with proven ability in lead conversion

  • Current full driver’s license is required

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Sales Role

  • A sound knowledge with Piping Solutions or water industry experience - advantageous.

  • Experience in the use of CRM and email databases preferred

  • Experience in Project Delivery – Advantageous.
