Capelli Hair Studio is a vibrant, modern and established salon located in Melbourne, known for delivering beautiful hair and exceptional client experiences. Our team is passionate, creative and professional and we’re looking for someone equally enthusiastic to join us in a dual role that combines salon front-of-house coordination with content creation, social media and marketing.
About the Role
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people, lives and breathes content and socials and loves beautiful hair. You’ll be both the welcoming face of the salon, ensuring every client is our first priority, while also helping to showcase and promote our salon online.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House
Warmly greet clients and manage the salon’s front desk
Schedule appointments and manage bookings via salon software
Handle client enquiries (in person, phone, email, social media)
Process payments and manage retail sales
Support the team with daily salon operations to ensure smooth workflow
Social Media & Marketing
Create and edit engaging low-fi content and photographs in-salon to be used across social platforms
Schedule engaging social posts on platforms including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
Develop and manage promotional campaigns, influencer and model collaborations, email and text marketing and digital ads on Meta, Google Ads and other platforms
Keep our website up to date
Engage with our online community on socials and Google reviews
Help grow the salon’s digital presence and community
Gather and share monthly social and client insights and use these to inform next months marketing decision making
Ensure consistency across the Capelli Hair Studio branding, both online and in salon
About You
Friendly, professional, and confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
Creative with an eye for detail and the ability to create engaging, aesthetic content
Passion for social media, content creation, and marketing
Organised, proactive and independent with the ability to multitask
Experience in a salon, spa, or customer service setting (preferred but not essential)
Basic understanding of platforms like Instagram, Canva, and Meta Business Suite
Hours & Pay
Part-time: approximately 20 - 30 hours per week (flexible for the right candidate)
Pay in accordance with the Hair and Beauty Industry Award 2020 — Frontline Reception / Administrative Level 2–3 (currently around $26–$35 per hour, depending on experience)
