We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead growth, strengthen partnerships, and increase service utilisation across our organisation.

About the Role Newly created role reporting to the Executive Director Corporate Services, this role is responsible for driving sustainable growth, increasing occupancy, expanding referral networks, and identifying new business.

You will play a key role in strengthening MannaCare’s presence across North-East, Eastern, and South-Eastern Melbourne while ensuring compliance with Australian aged care regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Business Development Plan aligned with organisational strategy
  • Drive residential occupancy and manage enquiry-to-admission pipelines
  • Build strong referral networks with hospitals, GPs, ACAT assessors, and community partners
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and support service expansion
  • Grow Home Care, Allied Health, and community service streams
  • Lead community engagement initiatives and represent MannaCare at events
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing
  • Track performance metrics and provide regular reports to the Executive Team
  • Support tender submissions and funding opportunities

About You

  • Similar experience as Admision Manager or Coordinator in Residential Aged Care Services
  • Strong understanding of Australian aged care funding models (Home Care, CHSP, Residential Care)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain referral networks
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive outcomes
  • Current driver’s licence and relevant clearances

Desirable

  • Proven experience in business development within aged care, healthcare, or community services
  • Experience working across multiple service streams (aged care, allied health, home care)
  • Established networks within Melbourne’s healthcare sector
  • Knowledge of home modifications and funding pathways
