This is a senior contract opportunity for a C# engineer to help take a proven application into a stable, scalable production environment. Working alongside an experienced engineering lead, you will play a key role in shaping a real-time, device-driven application used directly by operational teams.

This contract role focuses on evolving a production-bound platform, improving user workflows, strengthening integrations, and ensuring reliability at scale. You will work across frontend, backend, and cloud, contributing to both technical direction and hands-on delivery.

This is: what you’ll do

• Lead delivery of complex features from design through to deployment and production support
• Build and refine Blazor and MAUI Blazor Hybrid applications for Android and Windows environments
• Design and improve real-time communication flows using WebSockets and resilient client handling
• Integrate application layers with backend APIs and external data services
• Develop and enhance C# .NET services within AWS serverless architecture
• Design scalable APIs and event-driven integrations that support operational workflows
• Diagnose and resolve production issues using logs, metrics, and tracing tools
• Collaborate with engineers to uplift code quality, maintainability, and testing practices
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through reviews, pairing, and technical guidance

This is: what you’ll need

• Strong C# and .NET experience including .NET 8+ and ASP.NET Core
• Proven experience with Blazor and ideally MAUI Blazor Hybrid applications
• Experience building real-time systems using WebSockets or similar technologies
• Solid API design experience including REST, authentication, and versioning
• Hands-on AWS serverless experience including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB
• Experience with event-driven architecture and integration patterns
• Exposure to mobile or device-based application development, ideally Android or Windows
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to support production systems confidently
