The role:

Our client is seeking a Production Estimator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Australia, working on various projects ranging from medium density, developments valued between $1.5mil – $5mil, through to custom built luxury homes, with no two projects ever the same, each job is individually worked on from scratch.

To succeed in this role, it is crucial you have good knowledge in building and construction in residential, the ability to read and interpret drawings with strong estimation skills and high levels of attention to detail. We are looking for someone that is a team player and able to contribute to the team.

Your role will entail:

• Review and interpret all plans and documentation.

• Review trade/supplier quotes, complete quantity take-offs and issue purchase orders for agreed works.

• Preparation of tender packages for quotation and validation of quotes

• Performing accurate take offs

• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and staff, maintaining close coordination with the construction team.

• Foster strong and long-term working relationships with clients and trades.

• Managing targets and priorities

• Assist sourcing new suppliers and contractors

• Ensure correct building practices and procedures are always adhered to.

The following skills and experience is required:

• You MUST have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Custom Building Production Estimating role within the building and construction industry in Australia.

• Have strong communication and organisation skills

• Previous knowledge and experience using estimating programs, preferably Databuild

• Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

• Intermediate experience in using Microsoft Office/Excel

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of Australian building regulations, with in-depth knowledge of local legislation, procedures, and building processes.
