Ecommerce Trading & CRO Lead

Role Purpose

Own the performance of Aura Home's ecommerce website, driving revenue growth through digital trading, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), customer journey improvements, search optimisation and product discovery.

This role is accountable for the commercial performance of the website and is responsible for ensuring customers can easily find, discover and purchase products across all digital touchpoints.

As the owner of the website experience, you will proactively identify opportunities, recommend solutions and drive improvements across conversion, customer experience and trading performance. You will work closely with marketing, product, operations and external partners to ensure the website supports both customer needs and commercial objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and optimise a newly launched Shopify Plus website and play a key role in the future growth of Aura Home.


Key Responsibilities

Ecommerce Trading

Own and manage the ecommerce trading calendar.

  • Plan and execute promotional activity across the website.

  • Determine homepage priorities, campaign placement and category focus.

  • Identify revenue growth opportunities across categories, collections and customer journeys.

  • Monitor category, collection and product performance and make recommendations to improve revenue and conversion.

  • Ensure website activity aligns with inventory availability, marketing campaigns and commercial priorities.

  • Manage seasonal trading events, campaign execution and promotional performance.

  • Monitor trading performance and recommend actions to improve results.

Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)

Own Aura Home's website conversion strategy.

  • Analyse customer behaviour and identify friction points across the customer journey.

  • Develop and manage the CRO roadmap.

  • Prioritise and execute A/B testing initiatives.

  • Improve product page, collection page and checkout performance.

  • Increase revenue per visitor, average order value and conversion rate.

  • Monitor customer journeys and optimise key conversion paths.

  • Leverage behavioural insights and customer data to improve website performance.

Search & Product Discovery

  • Own Fast Simon strategy and optimisation.

  • Define search and merchandising rules.

  • Determine product ranking logic within collections and search results.

  • Optimise search functionality, filters, navigation and browse experiences.

  • Improve product discovery across all categories and collections.

  • Monitor search conversion rates and identify optimisation opportunities.

  • Develop strategies to improve engagement with new products, best sellers and promotional collections.


Website Performance & Analytics

  • Monitor site health, customer experience and website performance.

  • Analyse website performance using GA4, Shopify Analytics, Fast Simon and other reporting tools.

  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting.

  • Identify opportunities to improve conversion, engagement, revenue and customer experience.

  • Present recommendations supported by data and commercial insights.

  • Develop actionable reporting that supports decision making and prioritisation.


Website Optimisation & UX

  • Improve navigation structure and information architecture.

  • Improve collection page and product page experiences.

  • Recommend new functionality and customer experience enhancements.

  • Work closely with developers, agencies and technology partners to scope and implement improvements.

  • Manage the ecommerce development backlog and prioritise website enhancements.

  • Support testing, deployment and optimisation of new website functionality.

  • Ensure the website remains customer-centric, commercially effective and aligned with brand standards.


Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay up to date with ecommerce trends, AI tools, customer experience best practices and emerging technologies.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and new technologies to improve efficiency, customer experience and commercial outcomes.

  • Champion a culture of testing, experimentation and continuous improvement.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, workflows and website performance.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 3+ years experience in Ecommerce, Digital Trading, Ecommerce Management or a similar role.

  • Strong hands-on Shopify experience.

  • Proven experience improving website conversion and customer experience.

  • Experience with CRO methodologies and customer journey optimisation.

  • Demonstrated ability to run A/B tests effectively and interpret results for conversion rate optimisation.

  • Strong understanding of ecommerce trading and promotional execution.

  • Experience using GA4 and ecommerce reporting tools.

  • Experience with search & merchandising platforms.

  • Minimum 6 months hands-on experience working with search and merchandising platforms to optimise product discovery. eg Fast Simon, SearchSpring or similar

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience implementing SEO best practices.

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of ecommerce performance metrics.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and drive outcomes.

Desirable

  • Shopify Plus experience.

  • Experience managing developers, agencies and ecommerce technology partners.

  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge.

  • Experience with heat mapping, session recording or personalisation tools.

  • Klaviyo understanding.

  • Experience using AI tools to improve ecommerce performance, analysis or workflows.
