Insurance Agent - Claims Advisor

About the role:

The role will work with account managers to provide advice to clients in relation to their risks and policy coverage. You will oversee a portfolio of claims from lodgement to completion covering a range of industries and product lines. This position has a key focus on managing liability and long tail complex claims.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing risk coverage and providing accurate advice to clients regarding specific policies

• Critically assessing claims and championing client interests at every touch point, driving positive outcomes with insurers

• Effectively communicate claim outcomes with key stakeholders: clients, insurers and PNO account managers

• Impart knowledge to team members in liability and complex claims

• Be an active contributor to the claims team with a focus on continually improving outcomes for clients and the business

• Maintain systems (Winbeat and Officetech) to record policy/client/claim/insurer information, meeting both regulatory requirements and internal company processes

• Apply any industry or product updates to client policies/claims and communicate to clients and account managers accordingly.

About you:

1. ANZIIF Tier 1 and 2 Qualifications are minimum mandatory requirements (Ideally a tertiary qualification in a related field – finance/business/commerce)

2. Extensive experience in an insurance environment is a must have requirement – minimum 3 years in a brokerage.

3. Indepth knowledge of a range of product lines including construction, commercial, transport, financial and personal lines.

4. The ability to train and mentor others is an expectation in this role.

5. Demonstrated experience in resolving complex claims.

You will need to effectively manage your workload and meet deadlines whilst dealing with the pressure that can accompany complex claims

You will be someone who demonstrates attention to detail, a critical thinker who possesses high-level problem-solving skills.

You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team but are highly motivated to achieve tasks autonomously.
