About the role

Kingsford Lawyers' are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Litigation and Commercial Lawyer to join our dynamic team in our Melbourne office located in Spotswood.

As a Senior Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic and high-quality, legal services to our diverse client base, mentor and lead junior staff and build the Melbourne team.

This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with the room for growth and opportunities for partnership trajectory. 

What you'll be doing

• Advising clients on a wide range of legal matters

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal documents and agreements

• Providing expert legal guidance and support to the firm's partners and other team members

• Researching and analysing legal issues, and presenting solutions to clients

• Staying up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations

• Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers and legal professionals

• Contributing to the firm's growth and strategic initiatives

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of post-qualification experience

• Extensive experience in a broad range of legal practice areas, with a strong background in either commercial or litigation

• Proven ability to provide pragmatic, high-quality, and commercially focused legal advice to clients

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues

• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and supervise junior lawyers

• Commitment to staying up-to-date with legal developments and trends
