About The Role BRG is seeking an experienced Commercial Management Practitioner (Level 3) to support the LC4I SPO Plat-IES team as part of the Long Range Fires C4 Modernisation (LRF C4 Mod) program. This role will support platform integration and rollout activities by delivering end-to-end procurement and contract management services aligned to Defence policy and Commonwealth legislation. Working closely with Government, Industry and Capability stakeholders, the successful candidate will contribute to the planning, execution and management of procurements that enable the integration of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems across Army platforms. Key Details Location: Brisbane (Damascus Barracks) or Melbourne (Defence Plaza) Clearance: NV1 (minimum) Work Arrangement: Minimum 3 days onsite Start Date: ASAP Duties & Responsibilities The Commercial Management Practitioner will: Design and develop procurement strategies and contracting approaches that deliver value for money and mitigate risk Plan and conduct procurement activities in accordance with:Defence Procurement Manual (DPM) PGPA Act Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) Prepare procurement documentation including:Procurement Plans Endorsement to Proceed submissions Section 23 approvals Approach to Market documentation Support tendering activities including:Market engagement Evaluation management Source Evaluation Reports Negotiation documentation Develop and prepare contract documentation including ASDEFCON and CCS templates Conduct commercial risk and liability assessments Support contract negotiations with Industry Provide commercial governance and advisory support to project stakeholders Ensure probity, compliance and record keeping throughout the procurement lifecycle Support contract management planning, transition and closure activities Contribute to reporting and lessons learned across the project To be Successful You Will Demonstrate Ability to provide specialist commercial advice across the procurement lifecycle Strong problem-solving capability in complex commercial environments Experience working collaboratively with Defence and Industry stakeholders Sound understanding of procurement planning and contract management Ability to analyse delivery requirements and implement structured work plans Essential NV1 Security Clearance Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience Ability to work onsite minimum 3 days per week Highly Desirable Defence commercial management experience Experience supporting capability integration programs Understanding of:One Defence Capability System (ODCS) Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) Experience working with Defence primes Experience in complex logistics or capability projects If you would like to have a confidential discussion or find out more about this role, please click apply now or contact me directly on 0425 654 942, or [email protected]
