Personal Care Attendant (PCA) for SRS in Kew (Melbourne, Victoria) for IMMEDIATE start.

Permanent Part Time / Full Time.

Our Facility is an elegant majestic Victorian mansion home that combines modern comfort with quality and individualised care. It is a Supported Residential Service (SRS).

We are seeking energetic, experienced PCA to join our team to work in Kew, a vibrant residential area close to Melbourne’s CBD.

This role involves:

• Provides personal care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle

• Administers medication safely according to policies and procedures.  Accurately records medication administration

• Prepare meals and simple cooking for resident 

• Records observations on relevant assessment charts and documents any observed exceptions to the care plan in the progress notes

• General housekeeping

To successfully join our team, you will need to have the following :

• A certificate lll in aged care (or equivalent)

• Current First Aid & CPR certificate

• Current National Police Check or willing to obtain one

• Proof of Current Flu and Covid Vaccination

• Medication-giving/assistance competency certificate

• Assist client with Medication certificate (or equivalent)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent understanding of person-centred care

• Experience with cooking / kitchen-hand (highly regarded)

• Aged care experience (highly regarded)

• Excellent documentation practice

• Flexible with shift hours & days (optional sleepover shifts)

• Will consider junior-experienced PCA with the right learning attitude.
